Re: Employment for Haiti

Dear Mr. President,

I am writing this letter at the request of several people, like Pastor Larry Williams and Father Ronald Joseph, who believe that I can be of help to you and your efforts to help Haiti.

I have been involved in Haiti since 1984 in trying to bring new industries to the country as well as helping its people.

During that time, I have acquired much information as to how to work in Haiti as well as the vast resources that Haiti has to become a self-sustaining productive country.

Author Bonhomme introduced me to Haiti in 1984. He was a former Minister of Finance (responsible for the port in Port-au-Prince), Minister of Public Works, and Ambassador to US from Haiti and Presidential Candidate.

His goal with me was to disciple me in Haitian ways and how to work within the Haitian structure.

At one time we had over $2 billion in ground value of assets to use to start several new industries.

The attached information shows some of those projects.

We were able to get a law passed to allow for the private production of power to allow lager international electrical companies to come in producing power.

An agricultural training center to provide training to not only Haitians but the rest of the Caribbean would solve the food problem.

There is a deposit of "Cold Pack Asphalt" large enough to build 3,000 miles of roads on the island.

As with our own country, road building was the foundation to turn around a depression.

I had Haitians willing to give us 50,000 acres of farm land to accomplish this. Everything we did was designed to be profitable and any monies allocated to the projects would be paid back. Haiti also has ten times the oil reserves that Venezuela has and I have a plan to make that a reality.

I say all the above to give you a little flavor of what we are trying to do and what the real possibilities are in Haiti.

Most governments come in and ignore all the studies done prior to their time and start new ones. In the department of the Interior there are hundred's of studies done. They only need to be acted upon. I have an asset available to me worth almost $250 million dollars to put towards this effort.

It is suppose to be used between governments and has been made available to me to help Haiti.

This could be the foundation to start and economic development company to help Haiti.

But it requires a high level of government participation as well as private initiatives and commitment by those involved to help Haiti.

I know the other humanitarian efforts need to go forward, but if someone does not do anything to get their economy going, all that money will only have a temporary effect as has the millions already invested.

I believe that with your help and the help of others who have Haiti first in their minds, that we can set precedence for helping a third world country completely turn around in a relatively short period of time. It would be a model for future countries.

But it takes a group of like minded people with a vision to make it work for the betterment of all involved.

I am currently available to help. I am just a private person here in Florida with no particular influence, but I have been given resources, favor with powers to be and insight to help Haiti.

At 64 years old, it will be the last effort for me to make the hopes and dreams of the many people who have tried to help Haiti over the years become a reality.

But it will take someone like yourself to make it happen.

I have a Ministry which I am president and plan to go to Haiti soon as we have a house there that needs attention as well as two orphanages and a school with 418 kids. We have a water project completed and plan to dedicate it on October 25th which was completed with the help of Rotary, the Sisters of Charity and the kids at Anna Maria Elementary School.

It will service a community of several thousand where they now have to walk three miles to get water.

I am available to answer any questions you may have or meet with you or your aids.

The time is now to make a difference in Haiti.

Thank you for your valuable time.

Sincerely yours,

Norman Dennis Schuermann
