I am very happy to meet at the local National Police Academy (ANP) to witness the swearing in of the seven (7) new members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) according to the wishes of the law, President Jovenel twitted.

Haiti President Jovenel Moise walking the streets of Port-au-Prince after gas price protests (VIDEO)

It's 2 o'clock in the morning Monday, July 09 2018, right after street protests due to the gas price hike, president Jovenel Moise was in the streets evaluating the damages. The president stops to thank the Haitian police officers who are working late at night to keep the people safe.

First lady Martine Moise was also there by his side in the early morning hours.

The president also visited CIMO headquarters to give words of encouragements to these brave officers who work hard everyday to keep Haiti and its people safe.


Il est 2 heures du matin lundi 09 juillet 2018, juste après les manifestations de rue dues à la hausse des prix du gaz, le président Jovenel Moise était dans les rues pour évaluer les dégâts. Le président s'arrête pour remercier les policiers haïtiens qui travaillent la nuit pour assurer la sécurité des gens.

La première dame, Martine Moise, était également à ses côtés au petit matin.

Le président a également visité le siège de la CIMO pour adresser des mots d'encouragement à ces officiers courageux qui travaillent dur chaque jour pour assurer la sécurité d'Haïti et de ses habitants.

Les gens ont parlé et votre président a écouté, a déclaré le président Jovenel Moise.

Il a également confirmé avoir demandé au Premier ministre de ramener les prix du gaz aux prix antérieurs.

Le président Jovenel Moise a également dit que, avec tous les travaux publics qu'il fait dans le pays, construire des routes, l'agriculture, gérer les rivières et construire l'infrastructure électrique, il aura besoin d'argent et il n'aura que deux façons d'obtenir cet argent: Ici, en Haïti, sous la forme de taxes ou de nos amis de la communauté internationale.

Le président Jovenel a déclaré que le fait de subventionner la production d'électricité en Haïti coûte au gouvernement des centaines de millions de dollars et qu'il a dû prendre la dure décision de supprimer les subventions au gaz en augmentant les prix du gaz.
